GETTING TO SASKATOON
Saskatoon is the largest city in Saskatchewan, with a population of over
200,000, and is located along the South Saskatchewan river. The average
temperature in early April hovers around freezing.
Saskatoon is a day’s drive away from
other major centres: Regina 257 km (160 miles); Edmonton 529 km (329 mi);
Winnipeg 782 km (486 mi); Grand Forks 830 km (515 mi).
Saskatoon (YXE) is serviced by all major
Canadian airlines, as well as having twice-daily flights to Minneapolis/St.
Paul via Northwest. Saskatoon’s airport is near downtown; there’s no hotel
shuttle service, but taxi fare to downtown is about $12 Cdn.
HOTELS
There isn’t an official wedding hotel, although we’re happy to help you find a place nearby. Please make reservations early, as hotels may fill quickly over the holiday weekend. Megan or Cindy would be glad to tell you where groups of people will be staying.
MAPS
Here's a map that shows downtown Saskatoon, our house, and the Albert Community Centre (on the corner of Clarence and 12th, several blocks north of 8th Street).
Here's another map showing the Country Inn and Suites (hotel of Megan's family) and the house.
